| Event Calendar Paint Your Own Pottery Open Studio Dates How it Works: A selection of ceramics will be available ranging in price from $4 and up. Come paint and pick up your piece in 7-10 days. Bring friends and have some fun painting items from a buffet of ceramics. As always bowls for the Austin Empty Bowl Project are available for $10.00. Open Studio's require No Reservation. Special Project Studio's require a Reservation as there is a limited number of participants. | The Austin Empty Bowl Project - Paint a bowl for charity There are too many empty bowls, and empty stomachs, in Austin. The Austin Empty Bowl Project is focused on providing more than just food, it provides an opportunity for everyone to make a contribution. Come design a bowl that conveys your personality, and make an impact in your community. Did you know one in five adults and one in four children are at risk of hunger. Forty-one percent of The Capital Area Food Bank’s clients are children. A Home for Art and Cups & Cones are proud to announce this unique opportunity to impact our community. The project works like this: 1. You purchase a bowl. 2. You paint the bowl. 3. A Home for Art glazes and fires the bowl. 4. Your bowl gets donated to the Austin Empty Bowl Project. 5. In November the 15th Annual Austin Empty Bowl Project serves up local artistry, gourmet soups and bread, music and fun, all to help hungry Central Texans. How you can get involved: • Come to Cups & Cones on Sunday October 30th from 10 am – 5 pm. Cups & Cones 2900 N Quinlan Park Drive, suite 290 Austin, Texas 78732 • 150 bowls will be available on a first come first serve basis.
