| To earn the Ceramics and Clay badge offered to both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, children must make a clay pot using either coil or pinch techniques and discuss the history of pottery, and learn about kilns. A total of six activities are covered in two 1-1.5 hour sessions to complete the requirements for the badge. A home for art is the perfect partner for this project. Teacher Gifts: Organize a gift for your favorite teacher! Students can decorate a platter or other piece with designs or handprints. Holiday Meeting: Invite us to your holiday meeting! Each member can paint an ornament or other item of their choice. Leaders can decide on activities specific for their troop. Contact Emily at emcelmurry@austin.rr.com for event planning and details. |
